My total spent this week was right at $77, and I only saved about 33%. But as you can see, I did a LOT of shopping at places with no coupons (I've started shopping at a local grocery store - Galaxy - a lot, Dollar Tree, Walmart, Food Lion) and got enough chicken to last us for about a month, so all in all I'm happy even though I spent a lot this week. How did you do this week?

Month of April Recap
Hooray, hooray! A month where I stayed under budget for groceries! Just to recap for the month of April:
Week 1
Week 2
Week 3
Week 4
So this month I kept our budget right at $175, and saved about $295, about 63% for the entire month. I'm totally fine with that, especially considering I did a good amount of shopping at Walmart, Dollar Tree, and roadside produce stands, which don't show any savings.
How did you do this month? Any goals for the month of May?

Harris Teeter 4/24
This was my shopping trip today from the Aberdeen Harris Teeter. I found that they were very thorough in checking coupons. There were two coupons that I had that I did not see the "Do Not Double" in fine print, but my cashier found them. I ended up not getting those products. One was the $0.75 off eggs wyb Frank's hot sauce and one was $0.55 Mueller's hidden vegetables product.

Regular Shopping Trips 4/17 - 4/23
I don't post a lot of my "regular" shopping trips on here. I used to,
but I never know if it's helpful or if it bores people. But in a way it
kind of holds me accountable to what I'm purchasing, even though it all
goes onto my spreadsheet, so I'm going to try this for the month of
April. Every week I'm going to post my "everyday" trips to the stores to
show you what I'm buying. I'm trying really hard to pay attention to
our purchases this month to see where we can improve. This also means
for the month of April I'm going to try to get back into the drugstore
game a little bit. I used to be huge into Rite Aid and Walgreens, but not for about six months.

I don't post a lot of my "regular" shopping trips on here. I used to, but I never know if it's helpful or if it bores people. But in a way it kind of holds me accountable to what I'm purchasing, even though it all goes onto my spreadsheet, so I'm going to try this for the month of April. Every week I'm going to post my "everyday" trips to the stores to show you what I'm buying. I'm trying really hard to pay attention to our purchases this month to see where we can improve. This also means for the month of April I'm going to try to get back into the drugstore game a little bit. I used to be huge into Rite Aid and Walgreens, but not for about six months. In fact, when I went to Walgreens today, my favorite cashier Sarah was working and she told me she thought we had moved! Hah! Okay, on to the list.

Hodgson Mill Coupons
We recently tried Hodgson Mill products because they were on clearance, and the kids and I loved them. They make veggie pasta like many other brands. I decided to write them and see if I could score some coupons out of them.
They wrote me back quickly, and sent 5 $0.35 coupons. Not incredible, but it'll make for some good deals by the time they expire.
I wanted y'all to know about this in case it's a brand you enjoy too, so you can write them a letter!
