This month I did go over what I like to say is our grocery budget. I spent right at $249, and I saved about 53%. Not my best month, but hey, it happens. There definitely weren't as many deals as usual this month, and I did some special cooking for things at church and family which were part of the grocery budget, so I'm not unhappy about these numbers. We'll shoot for lower numbers in June!

Hooray, hooray! A month where I stayed under budget for groceries! Just to recap for the month of April:

So this month I kept our budget right at $175, and saved about $295, about 63% for the entire month. I'm totally fine with that, especially considering I did a good amount of shopping at Walmart, Dollar Tree, and roadside produce stands, which don't show any savings.
