Tools for Tracking Expenses

I read about these tools for tracking expenses in All You and I wanted to share them with you guys. I have not personally tried any of them so I can't vouch for them. If you use one of them let me know how it works for you!!

BankRate - Search for "free household budgeting worksheet" to get a template with categories you create. Fill in the amounts, when the bills are due and how often you get paid, and the calculator does the math. This system keeps track of your pay periods and helps you determine your cash flow throughout the month.

Excel - Go to "Project Gallery" under "File". Click on "Home Essentials", then "Finance Tools". There's a monthly home budget with preset categories.

PearBudget - This is a simple online budget with customizable categories that help you plan for irregular expenses. This program is great if you prefer to track your outlays without putting your bank information online and don't mind inputting your receipts. Plus the site lets you print wallet-size cards that show how much you have left in your budget for any category. It's free for 30 days, then $3 a month.
