This is how I buy chicken. I wait for it to be $1.99/lb or less and then I stock up. I may buy a couple more packs - not sure yet. We eat a lot of chicken. Everything else was pretty much a splurge but I had a gift card (thanks mom and dad!!) So I definitely spent a lot of money in this trip but on the same note I won't need chicken for some time. To give you an idea - the last time I purchased chicken was approximately late October/early November. Plus, add in the fact that most of my chicken meals include ingredients from the pantry - that's less than $3.50 per meal for each package of chicken. Can't beat that!
