I know, I know, I'm getting way behind on my "shopping plans". I'm still figuring out what works best for our family. This planning ahead is definitely working, though. In the month of November we spent under $120 on groceries. This makes me so happy and makes me think it's possible to stay well under $200 every month. I would love that and so would our bank account!
So here is how I shopped last week:
Food Lion:
Tasteeos - $3.59 (32 oz bag; as planned)
Clementines - $5.48 (5 lb box; as planned)
Gala apples - $3.11 (3 lbs at $0.99/lb; as planned)
Baby carrots - $1.29 (1 lb; as planned)
Used $2/$10 produce coupon.
Final OOP - $11.70

Quaker soft cookies - $0.50 (as planned, on sale for $2.00 and used a $0.75 coupon)
Progresso soups - (paid $6.84 for 8 soups, making them $0.86 per can. Was supposed to get an extra $2.00/8 Harris Teeter e-coupon but it didn't take off. I contacted HT and an extra $2.00 will be taken off my next order.)
Progresso recipe starter - $0.15 each, purchased two (as planned; on sale for $1.15 and used a $0.50 coupon)
HT rice - $1.97 (as planned)
Kettle chips - $0.84 (as planned; on sale for $1.84 and used a $0.50 coupon)
Tyson nuggets - $3.49 (as planned; on sale for $4.99 and used a $0.75 coupon)
Grands biscuits - (paid $5.01 for 3 cans, making them $1.40 per can. Was supposed to get an extra $0.40/3 HT e-coupon but it didn't take off. I contacted HT and an extra $1.00 will be taken off my next order.)
Butter quarters - $0.97 (as planned)
HT shredded cheese - $1.34, purchased three (as planned)
Yoplait yogurt - Free, purchased two (On sale for $0.60 and I had a $0.30 coupon)
International delight creamer - $0.57 (As planned; on sale for $1.67, used a $0.55 coupon)
Carmax lip balm - Free, purchased two (as planned; on sale for $0.99 and used a $0.50 coupon)
Final shopping total - $61.69
OOP - $24.51
Saved - $37.18 (about 60%)
Will receive $2.40 from Savingstar for buying 8 Progresso soups and 3 cans of Pillsbury biscuits.
